MiSight 1 Day Contact Lens

MiSight contacts lens is the world first daily disposable soft contact lenses that is clinically proven to substantially slow the progression of myopia in children. They look similar to normal soft lenses but they have a very different optical design called ActivControlTM Technology. All our staff are trained and educated to advice on the contact lenses and are able to provide clear information to parent and children.
They are daily disposable lenses, meaning you open a new lens each day. They are worn during the day and thrown away at night. Generally they are worn every day although occasionally you might not wear them. The lens are worn as long as myopia progression is considered a risk.

MiSight 1 Day Contact lens effectiveness

MiSight 1 Day has undergone a three year research, which was performed at four investigational sites including Singapore (National University Hospital). This contact lens has been shown to reduce myopia progression as compared to a normal single vision soft contact lens, with an average of 59% less myopia progression and 52% eyeball elongation.

How do I know if my child is suitable for MiSight?

Suitability of the lenses requires an examination with our optometrist. During the consultation, your child’s eyes health condition, the eyes curvature of the cornea and the prescription of the eyes will be determine. If the child is suitable to be fitted with MiSight contact lenses, a len fitting session will be carry out to determine whether the lens is suitable for your child eyes. Treatment zone of MiSight will also be determine to make sure that the lens is sitting in the right position to obtain the best visual/treatment outcome.
